Two weeks in Spain!
During the 2023 Maymester Drs. Kari Turner and John Michael Gonzalez took 20 students from across CAES and the university to southern Spain for the Spain: Food Production, Culture, and the Environment study abroad opportunity.
This was a two-week trip designed to expose students to the novel production practices, culinary dishes, and culture of Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, and Malaga, Spain. Highlights included visiting a regenerative pork and beef operation, a fish market, and attending an Andalusian horse show.
During 2024, the study abroad opportunity will visit Japan and they will return to Spain in 2025.
