Cynthia Curtis Scholarship
This year’s Cynthia Curtis Scholarship recipient is Madison Gunter. Madison is an Animal Science major who is finishing up her second year at UGA. Madison’s activities and accomplishments include:
- UGA Block and Bridle (Historian, Social Chair)
- UGA Cattlemen’s Association (Events Chair)
- Presidential Scholar (UGA)
- Deans List (UGA)
- Salutatorian (High School)
- High School FFA (President, Secretary)
- High School Student Council
- High School National Honors Society
Additionally, Madison has served as a summer camp counselor for a Christian summer camp as well as a pianist for her church for many years. She received the Freshman Workhorse Award from Block and Bridle last year, and she currently works at the UGA Beef and Sheep Unit. She would like to attend veterinary school after graduation and have a mixed animal practice. She is especially interested in embryo transfer and AI of beef, sheep, and swine. She would like to move back to rural Georgia and give back to a small agricultural community similar to where she grew up.
