Forbes Leadership Award

This year’s Benjamin Forbes Outstanding Dairy Science Senior Scholarship recipient is Ansley Roper.  Ansley is double majoring in Animal Science and Dairy Science and will graduate this summer.  Ansley’s activities include:

• UGA Dairy Science Club (Public Relations Chair)
• UGA Block and Bridle (Event Coordinator)
• UGA Cattlemen’s Association
• UGA CAES Student Ambassador
• Alpha Gamma Delta
• UGA Miracle
• IM Soccer

Ansley was selected as a member of the Food Animal Incentive Program. She currently works as a student employee for the Animal and Dairy Science department as well as working for the Georgia Agriculture Commodity Commission for Milk as a mobile dairy classroom instructor. She would like to attend graduate school this upcoming fall with an emphasis on dairy cattle herd management or calf health and then attend veterinary school to continue her career in the dairy industry.
