Robert Lowrey Scholarship
This year’s Robert Lowrey Scholarship recipient is Alanis Reyes. Alanis is from Puerto Rico and is finishing up her second year as an Animal Science major. Alanis’s activities and accomplishments include:
- High School FFA, chapter president
- Vex Robotics World Championships translator
- International Women’s Day Forum
- Theater club
Alanis has garnered several awards including:

Alanis has worked at Hacienda Tierra Alta as a cultivator/grower as well as a produce seller, and she also worked at UGA Animal Resources as a technician. She is majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Dairy Science and a certificate in International Agriculture. She is currently considering a career in veterinary medicine, or potentially pursuing a Ph.D. in Animal and Dairy Science.
