H.D. Thames Academic Support Fund

This year’s H.D. Thames Scholarship recipient is Holly Drexler. Holly is finishing up her first year at UGA and is double majoring in Animal Science and Dairy Science.  Holly’s activities and accomplishments include:

• UGA Pre-Vet Club
• Deans List
• Little International Dairy Showmanship 3rd Place
• Thespian (Historian)
• Theater (lead roles in high school)
• Robins Regional Youth Leadership
• Choir

Holly currently works 20 hours per week as a veterinary assistant in Athens. Her family owns a large cotton farm, and she grew up with an appreciation for agriculture. She plans on applying to the UGA Food Animal Veterinary Incentive Program this year. She would like to ultimately work in Athens as a mixed animal veterinarian.
