Biography
Leticia Campos joined the Department of Animal and Dairy Science in August 2026 as Assistant Research Scientist based at the Tifton Campus. Her research focuses on livestock nutrition, modeling, and life cycle assessment connecting animal-level management and biological processes with environmental outcomes at the farm and production-system levels.
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Campos earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Sao Paulo State University and her Ph.D. in Dairy Science from Virginia Tech. Her doctoral research focused on developing a precision feeding platform to optimize diets using individual-animal inputs and deliver customized feeding recommendations to group-housed animals. She subsequently joined Colorado State University AgNext, where she expanded her research into livestock systems modeling and environmental assessment across dairy and beef production systems.
